12:50 pm	Sport All riiiiight!!! Carlton won - by quite a margin (Aussie Rules). England struggled but made it through (World Cup rugby union) Arsenal - finally - won a league game (football). And the Chiefs are top of the table (domestic rugby union). All in all a pretty good weekend for sport. Now if my rugby league team (Whitehaven) can also win today it would make it a perfect sporting weekend. (None of my GAA teams made it through to their respective finals) (Comment on this)

8:17 pm	Happy International Workers' Day folks They haven't a good day for the Obby Oss. Awful wet today. Ah well - the garden needed the rain. Not sure we need the frost that's been forecast for the night, though. Hope my lettuces (lollo rosso and Cos) survive. They were doing well... We did think about heading down for the Obby Oss but decided it would be too crowded. Might go over to Helston for the Furry Dance aka Dance the Flora or Flora Dance (note NOT Floral Dance) next weekend. I love this time of year so many ancient customs to investigate. (Comment on this)
